How the days are counted
The standard difference counts the days elapsed between the two dates (exclusive): from the 1st to the 10th is 9 days. If you need to include both ends (for example the days of an event), add 1 to the result. The tool allows for months of different lengths and for leap years.
Worked example
Between 1 January 2026 and 1 March 2026 there are 59 days (January has 31 and February 28 in 2026) — about 8 weeks and 3 days, or exactly 2 months.
Calendar days vs working days
Calendar days include weekends and holidays; working days exclude them. Many legal and delivery deadlines are counted in working days, so check which kind of day applies to your case.

Does it include the end day? By default no; add 1 if you want to count both days.
